Meet Nancy Gorod

Founder & Lead Educator

Nancy Gorod is an accomplished Jewish educator with over 30 years of experience and the founder of Parpar Jewish Education Group.  With a diverse professional background ranging from preschool through adult, in both formal and informal settings, Nancy is creative, dedicated, and committed to making constructive changes for organizational and school enhancement. Nancy has successfully proven herself at program creation, curriculum development and implementation, and direct instruction. 

 

Receiving her Masters Degree in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in New York, Nancy also completed a Certificate in Jewish Leadership from Spertus Institute and Northwestern University.  She received her Bachelor's degree from Tufts University. Nancy has recently received an Honorary Doctorate in Pedagogy from The Jewish Theological Seminary of America.

 

Before starting Parpar Jewish Education Group, Nancy’s previous positions have been at Jewish preschools, elementary and middle schools in Atlanta.  For 14 years, Nancy served on the faculty of Camp Ramah Darom in North Georgia, where creativity was shared amongst the teachers and meaningful educational goals were transmitted to all ages of campers.  She has also served in leadership positions as the director of education at two synagogues in Atlanta, mentoring teachers, creating meaningful curricula, and overseeing programs for children in grades K-12.
